Class Description

Our Lindy 1a and 1b classes (formerly "Lindy Hop Beginner Basics and Fundamentals") get you from zero to dance hero in two months. We cover the basics of partner dancing, the fundamental moves of Lindy Hop and Charleston as well as turns and variations. In order to move on to the Lindy 2 series, you need to take Lindy 1a and Lindy 1b, but you can take the classes in any order.

In Lindy 1b you will learn:

  • Six Count Basic
  • Six Count Circle
  • Tuck Turn
  • Side Pass
  • Lindy Hop Basic Step ("Swingout")
  • Lindy Circle

Lindy 1a and 1b are offered throughout the year on alternating months. They may be taken in any order. No partner is required.
