Class Description

Our Lindy 1 series will help you establish a solid foundation in Lindy Hop. We cover the basics of partner dancing, the fundamental movements and moves of Lindy Hop, and some turns and variations.

In order to move on to the Lindy 2 and Fundamentals classes, you need to be comfortable with the movements and concepts from Lindy 1. While it is required to take Lindy 1 at least once to be eligible for Lindy 2, it is normal and recommended to retake this series until you are confident with the movements and concepts.

In Lindy 1, you will learn:

  • The Swingout
  • Lindy Circle
  • Send out
  • Side Pass/Underarm turn
  • Tuck turn
  • & more!

Lindy 1 classes are offered throughout the year. No partner is required.

COVID-19 Policy: For this in-person class, we are proof of up-to-date vaccination (including boosters as applicable). Masks are optional. If a COVID spike is observed, the instructors reserve the right to ask folks to dance masked
