September 2023: Lindy 3: Competitions and Jams

From the legendary Harvest Moon Ball to the iconic weekly contests at the Savoy Ballroom, performance is part of the tradition of Lindy Hop. In this dynamic class, you will explore two exciting performance opportunities in Lindy Hop: competitions and jam circles. We will work on physical skills and building confidence so you can succeed in these environments. 

Prerequisites: Lindy 3 classes are intended for students who have completed and are confident in all elements of the Lindy 2 curriculum, which includes at least one session of Fundamentals. Lindy 3 classes are the highest level of classes in the curriculum and instructors are requested to cater to the more experienced dancers in the class. This class will fulfill the "Competitions/Jams" requirement for the Starlight Pass.

COVID-19 Policy: For this in-person class, we are proof of up-to-date vaccination (including boosters as applicable). Masks are optional. If a COVID spike is observed, the instructors reserve the right to ask folks to dance masked.
