March 2025: Special Topics: Whose Lead Is It Anyway?

The class where everything is made up and the roles don’t matter! In this class we will explore ways that followers can initiate changes in the partnership, in momentum and direction - and do so with creativity and intention. Leaders will get to explore ways to be receptive and adaptive to their partner during a dance. We will do these in the framework of basic moves, such as the swing out and side pass, so you can bring these skills to the social dance floor right away.

Pre-Requisites: Ideally you no longer need to actively think about basic footwork and finding the start and end of a phrase. You should be comfortable and confident with shapes taught in Lindy 1 classes.
