December 2017: Mini-Series: The Shim Sham

Our Mini Series classes are offered between the end of one Lindy 1 series and the beginning of another. They may cover a variety of topics, and are typically geared towards Level 1 students unless otherwise noted. These classes are intended to give you skills that may not be covered during the course of Lindy 1, but are important to your growth as a dancer. Mini Series classes may serve as prerequisites to Level 2 or Level 3 classes. In our Shim Sham class, you will learn: 

• The Shim Sham! A Lindy Hop/solo jazz routine that is well known throughout the international swing dancing community
• Solo jazz vocabulary, including: 
  • Full break
  • Half break
  • Tack Annies
  • Boogie backs
  • & more!

Mini Series classes are offered throughout the year on a rotating schedule. They may be taken in any order. No partner is required.
