January 2020: Lindy 3: Beyond the Counts

You've probably been dancing for a while. You're pretty solid on your Lindy 1 and Lindy 2 vocabulary. But sometimes you still watch the social floor and wonder, “What is that crazy move?” Sometimes it’s a move from our vault of Lindy Hop repertoire... and sometimes it’s just a result of playing around with lead/follow connection and seeing what happens! This class will break you out of your comfort zone of 6 and 8 count and into the land of asking, responding, timing, and just plain making things up as you go! Come prepared to work on solidifying your basics and ready to think about dancing in a new way.

Lindy 3 classes are intended for students who have completed (and are confident in) all elements of the Lindy 2 curriculum (which includes at least one session of Fundamentals). The topic for these classes changes every month at the discretion of the instructors. This class will fulfill the "Moving Beyond Moves" requirement for the Starlight Pass.
