Class Description
If you’ve been curious about solo dancing or wanted to join in with the Shim Sham at social dances, this class is for you! In this class, you will be introduced to several classic vernacular jazz steps, practice by yourself and in groups, and learn the classic vaudeville routine, the Shim Sham Shimmy.
No prerequisites. It’s gonna be hot, wear shorts (or whatever feels like appropriate "it's going to be very hot" wear for you).
COVID-19 Policy: For this in-person class, we are requiring masking and proof of up-to-date vaccination (including boosters within the past 6 months as eligible). Acceptable masks include: KN95, KN94, N95, and surgical masks. Cloth masks are not sufficient; we will provide surgical masks at the door for those who need them.
