June 2022: Lindy 2: Rhythm, Timing, and Music

Our Lindy 2 classes build on what you learned in Lindy 1 to make yourself a well-rounded swing dancer, more confident on the dance floor. Lindy 2 classes require you to be comfortable with the 6- and 8-count basics covered in Lindy 1 In the Lindy 2 series. If you cannot confidently swing out, we recommend retaking Lindy 1 before moving on. In Lindy 2, we cover a range of topics, from vocabulary to technique to deeper understanding of swing music. 

In order to move on to the Lindy 3 classes, you need to be comfortable with the material in Lindy 2 classes: Rhythm, Timing, and Music; Momentum; Connection. In addition, you should have taken at least one or more Fundamentals series. You can take these classes in any order.

Note: While you are required to take each series listed at least once to be eligible for Lindy 3, it is normal and recommended for you to retake a series until you are confident with the movements and concepts.

In Lindy 2 - Rhythm, Timing, and Music, you will learn:

Lindy 2 classes are offered throughout the year on a rotating schedule. They may be taken in any order. No partner is required.
