March 2022: Fundamentals: Making Rhythmic Choices

Class Description: If you’re feeling comfortable with some of the basic patterns in Lindy hop (swingout, sendout, pass-by, tuck-turn, circle, etc.) and want to add more nuance and expression into your dancing, then this class is for you. We’ll use rhythmic variations as a tool to deepen the conversation with your dance partner and the music. When we have a closer relationship with the rhythm, our dancing feels better to ourselves, to our partners, and even to the rest of the dancers in the whole room. Come join the party!

Fundamentals classes are aimed at any student who has completed the Lindy 1 curriculum or equivalent. No partner is required. 

COVID-19 Policy: For this in-person class, we are requiring masking and proof of up-to-date vaccination (including boosters) within the past 6 months. Acceptable masks include: KN95, KN94, N95, and surgical masks. Cloth masks are not sufficient; we will provide surgical masks at the door for those who need them.
