July 2023: Intro to Smooth/LA Style Swing (Lindy 3+ Level)

This is an introductory class to the style of Lindy Hop done by legendary dancers from Southern California such as Jewel McGowan & Dean Collins, Irene Thomas, Betty & Hal Takier, Nikki & Gili Brady, and Jean Veloz.

Prerequisites: This 2-week series requires that you have taken at least one Lindy 3 series in addition to meeting the Lindy 3 prerequisites which are listed in the paragraph below. In addition, please be comfortable and confident with sendouts, swingouts, and sugar pushes.

Lindy 3 classes are intended for students who have completed and are confident in all elements of the Lindy 2 curriculum, which includes at least one session of Fundamentals. Lindy 3 classes are the highest level of classes in the curriculum and instructors are requested to cater to the more experienced dancers in the class.
