August 2024: Special Topics: Follow-Focused Workshop -- Having a Two-Way Conversation

Lindy Hop is a dance that values individual expression and agency in the partnership. Followers, you have a lot to contribute, and we want to help you to find and exercise your voice!

If you’re introducing moments of play, musicality, and personal expression while following - or if you want to support your partner in doing so - then this class is for you. We’ll explore how followers play inside of and bend ideas within the partnership without breaking it.

This is a Lindy 3 level class that expects you to be comfortable with the concepts, basic shapes, and patterns introduced in the Lindy 2 series. How would you like to work on this content? Choose the option that best fits your goals:

• Learn by following only
• Learn by practicing both the lead and follow role
• Support my partner by leading only

Prerequisites: 

Lindy 3 classes are intended for students who have completed (and are confident in) all elements of the Lindy 2 curriculum (which includes at least one session of Fundamentals). The topic for these classes changes every month at the discretion of the instructors.
