Class Description

The Tranky Doo is an authentic jazz dance choreographed by Pepsi Bethel and first appeared at the Savoy Ballroom in Harlem during the 1940s. It's a fun and exciting authentic jazz dance to learn, so bring your water bottles and workout clothes! Prerequisites: This class requires Solo Jazz and the Shim Sham as a prerequisite, or the equivalent. Students should have fundamental knowledge of vernacular solo jazz and some vocabulary; we will move quickly through material in this choreography!
