December 2025: Fundamentals: Textures

In this class, you’ll explore how to shift the texture of your dancing to add expression, variety, and a more dynamic partnership with your partner and the music. We’ll start with solo movement, then practice listening, matching, and responding when your partner or the music changes.

Strong fundamentals make playing with textures easier, so we’ll emphasize clarity, consistency, and communication as you experiment with new ways to shape your movement in dance.

Prerequisites: This class requires you have taken at least Lindy 1: Partnership or Lindy 1: Movement.
