October 2026: Lindy 3: Play Your Intrument (Rhythms & Variations)

One way we participate in the music when we dance Lindy Hop is by riffing on standard rhythms and creating new ones, just like jazz musicians. You can have conversations with the band and your partner by flowing into and out of standard footwork to punctuate what you want to express with variations.

In this class, we'll study a few common variations and use them as a launchpad for discovery and creativity.

Prerequisites: Lindy 3 classes are intended for students who have completed (and are confident in) all elements of the Lindy 2 curriculum (which includes at least one session of Fundamentals). The topic for these classes changes every month at the discretion of the instructors. This class can count towards completion of the Lindy 3 "Rhythm/Variations" requirement for the Starlight Pass
